The concept of the Urban Living Lab (ULL) follows the significantly growing public awareness of our society towards environment,
climate protection, energy efficiency and consumption of resources.
The focus of these thoughts is the realisation of technical and sociocultural innovations, to accelerate sustainability and to launch an international holistic knowledge transfer.
As a new competence centre for sustainable development the Urban Living Lab off ers space for exhibits and formats which combine these properties. Moreover it acts as an incubator for pilot buildings and model role districts for the cities of the future.
